Description

The tea glass is decorated with brown, red and white decal with plum blossom and a poem from "Poems by Mao Zedong" [in Chinese characters, Mao Zedong shici]. Mao's poem "Ode to the Plum Blossom" [in Chinese characters, Yong Mei] is written in black on a white open book, with red seals beside the text and floral decoration beneath the book.
The poem [in Chinese characters] reads: "to the melody Bu suan zi. Wind and rain escorted Spring's departure, Flying snow welcomes Spring's return. On the ice-clad rock rising high and sheer, a beautiful blossoming branch. Beautiful but not competing with spring, only wanting to be spring's harbinger. When the mountain flowers are in full bloom, she will smile in their midst. - ode to the plum blossom.
