Reading Objects 2019: Student Edition

Class of 2020
Monotony fills between the lines
Some squishy patches of grey defined
In the cryptic cursive of her face,
She starts to sense the dark sweeping
Skin crinkles attempting to bury the light
Which blends into folds of her coal cloak
This innate allegiance to the abyss
And the life of systematic sweeping
Familiar as air in a dream, she knows
their consanguinity subconsciously; thinking
The shroud around me keeps me safe
I am lost without the sweeping
