After looking at Bullet Through Apple
By Jeffrey Seitz
William Tell’s second arrow became a wraith.
It roamed the Earth for a target.
It sailed passed pirates whose souls
Were too black to pierce.
It hovered over the explorers whose
Brains tattered like sails
Ensnared in wind’s howl.
Suddenly, out of the blue, through
Kinetic possession, it strikes.
Dearest Eve, did you prefer pears over apples?
You didn’t miss anything.
The apple no longer yields life.
It only gives snuffed memories.
